'පොහොට්ටුවට' ඡන්දය දීමෙන් වළකින්නැයි ස්වාධීන මැතිවරණ කොමිසමේ දෙමල ජාතික සාමාජිකයා දමිළ ජනතාව ගෙන් ඉල්ලා ඇතැයි, ආණ්ඩුවට පක්ෂපාති දකුණේ මාධ්‍ය වල පලවී ඇති පුවත් වාර්තා සම්බන්ධයෙන් අදහස් දක්වමින් ඔහු එබව අවධාරණය කර තිබේ.
උතුරේ ක්‍රියාත්මක වන ප්‍රාදේශීය රූපවාහිනී නාලිකාවක් හා අදහස් දක්වමින් ස්වාධීන මැතිවරණ කොමිසමේ සාමාජික, මහාචාර්ය රත්නජීවන් හූල් ප්‍රකාශකර ඇත්තේ, බොරු ප්‍රචාර කරමින් ප්‍රජාතන්ත්‍රවාදයට විරුද්ධව කටයුතු කරන අයට ඡන්දය නොදෙන ලෙසයි.
තමන් සිංහල භාෂාව නොදන්නා බවත් එමෙන්ම සිංහලෙන් පලවන කුණු කියවන්නට නොදන්නා බවත් ඔහු එහිදී සඳහන් කර ඇත.
'සිංහලෙන් ලියන කුණු' - මරු පරිවර්තන :
මේ අතර 'කලම්බු ටෙලිග්‍රාෆ්' කර්තෘ, ජ්‍යෙෂ්ඨ මාධ්‍යවේදී උවිඳු කුරුකුලසූරිය සිය FB පිටුවේ සටහනක් පළකරමින්, එළඹෙන පාර්ලිමේන්තු මැතිවරණයේදී ශ්‍රී ලංකා පොදුජන පෙරමුණට (පොහොට්ටුවට) ඡන්දය දීමෙන් වැළකී සිටින ලෙස ස්වාධීන මැතිවරණ කොමිසමේ සාමාජික, මහාචාර්ය රත්නජීවන් හූල් ප්‍රකාශකර ඇත්තේ කොහේදී දැයි විමසා සිටියි.

"Under the 19th Amendment it is hard to cheat. But this they attempt to do by intimidating the Commission. At meetings the SLPP journalists will be in front and give me rubbish in Sinhalese they know I cannot read. They threaten to remove me from the Commission. And lots of lies are written about me. You should not vote for those who lie to you. Some Tamil Congress members intimidated me in early 2018 at an election, the file was taken to the AG's office saying that he has to think about it. It is still there and the case cannot move. The whole establishment is about protecting the cheats, whom everyone knows are cheating."

මෙම කාරණය සම්බන්ධයෙන් රජිත කීර්ති තෙන්නකෝන් ගේ FB පිටුවේ පළකර තිබු සටහනකට ප්‍රතිචාරයක් ලෙස 'පොහොට්ටු' පක්ෂයේ ජාතික ලැයිස්තු අපේක්ෂක ජනාධිපති නීතිඥ අලි සබ්රි පවසා ඇත්තේ, ''හූල් විශේෂයෙන්ම SLPP එකට ඡන්දය නොදෙන ලෙස කියා ඇති බවයි.

Ali Sabry is angry with me for not letting up on threatening Muslims with a thrashing if they did not vote for Rajapaksa in Nov. He used the word Ambaanai -- thrashing.
In the present instance, I did not say what I am reported to have said. Mawbima and Ceylon Today consist of a group of cheats. They created a story about my daughter failing to undergo quarantine when she had a certificate signed by Lieut. General Shavendrade Silva and Dr. Jasinghe' that she had finished the required quarantine. The Editor refused a correction because his Chairman had ordered him to print his tall tales. And now this.What I said on Dan TV was do not vote for cheats. If the hat fits, let the SLPP wear it.
It is a Match 12 principle endorsed by the EC not to vote for fraudsters who cheat voters. I was repeating EC policy
